I’ve always heard from people you could make phone calls on the internet without paying for it. I never really took the time to investigate it until I found CallingAmerica.com. They support web based phone calls (Voip) to any landline or mobile phone in the U.S or Canada for free! This is the first of it’s kind where they are a totally free ad-supported VOIP service. This is a a great service for people who really want to cut back their expenses, isn’t that everyone? Most of us don’t really need to be on the phone that much, so why not cut back. I’m really surprised that a company can offer such a great service for free. I know online advertising is becoming a powerful income source these days and it’s nice to have these services available for people who need to cut costs.
If you are an unregistered member, you can still use the service, but you are limited to a 2 minute length call. If you register you can have a 15 minute length phone call. To use the service simply type in the number and have your microphone connected to your computer. This service works with both PC and mac and doesn’t require any kind of special software. It works totally through the web interface. You do need a broadband connection to use the service. I encourage you to at least give it a quick try, you don’t need to be registered to test it out.
